Ramrao, a multi-millionaire had lost his one year old daughter when she was kidnapped. For years he searched for her but without success. He however hoped that one day she would return. But he did not know how she was brought up. Was she brought up by Hindu or Muslim or Christian? Was she brought up by Bengali, Maharashtrian, Tamilian or Kashmiri? So he decided to build a house for her which would represent the culture of different communities as well as provinces. So, he sent Dinanath in search of an architect who would undertake the job.

The search for an Engineer-cum-architect led to search of Vijay educated in Engineering architecture and sculpture. Vijay did not do any work. Occasionally he worked as a guide to take people round the caves. During such a mission he met Vidya. Entranced by her beauty he carved Vidya’s image on stone in different forms and shapes. Thanks to intervention of his uncle, Vidya was married to Vijay.

Dinanath found Vijay. He took him round the country to explain his idea. But before he could finish the journey he died taking promise from Vijay that he would go to Delhi and build the house of integrated culture. Back in his home town he had a misunderstanding with Vidya who now had a child. Cursing her he went to Delhi. Vidya followed him and took a job of cook in the same house keeping her face hidden under a veil.

Vijay started building the house. For the main statue he approached Vidya to pose, on the condition that he would teach her sculpture. Vidya, whom Vijay did not recognize, agreed. The house was complete. But Vijay was not happy. Moreover recognizing Vidya his first impulse was to destroy everything Ramrao prevented him from doing anything rash. On the day of the opening ceremony; Vijay was surprised to see the main statue of the bride. It was transformed into the statue of the soul of India. To his surprise he learnt that Vidya’s son who had learnt sculpture from him had done the miracle. His father cleared the misunderstanding and Ramrao found that Vidya’s alleged mother was none else but the maid-servant who had kidnapped his year old daughter. He thus found his daughter. And thus the father and daughter, the husband and wife were united heralding the emotional integration of the country.
